Are we living in an Orwellian prison?
“War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.”
Prophetic or innocently hijacked, the dystopian novella by George Orwell has rung chillingly true through each successive decade since its 1949 publication, as our human rights and civil liberties have been subtly eroded, leaving us at the mercy of faceless corporate entities. Like a frog placed in cool water and gradually heated, many have been oblivious of the infringements of freedom that have been gradually curtailed, as distraction after distraction have been placed in plain sight as policy is made by Mr. Man for Mr. Man alone.
What is disturbing about the current redistribution of power is the confidence of Mr. Man to no longer hide or distract us from the obvious, as ‘public health’ concerns are being used to manipulate you along the path to medical apartheid, whilst at the same time building further walls for your own protection against an ‘invisible’ indestructible enemy.
But you will be safe within those boundaries because you are doing what you are told to do, without questioning, with complete obedience; travelling freely because you have ceded sovereignty over your body; have visitors because you have been a ‘good’ citizen; can attend social gatherings because you have been caring enough to be giving privileges; and you can work freely because you are now protected.
But should you exercise your freedom to question there will be consequences as MEP Billy Kelleher writes in his letter defending his vote in favour of a Digital Green Certificate Regulation
“Those who do not want to be vaccinated are free to choose to do so. However, for those that do choose to be vaccinated, we need a system that is secure and robust to allow those who have chosen to be vaccinated to travel unhindered.“
It all reads like the Orwellian ‘prison’ system wherein we wait to hear what our new liberties will be; where paranoia and spying reigns; where every action and transaction is documented and recorded; where freedom of speech is allowed if it adheres to the mandated guidelines or is muffled behind a thin piece of protective fabric; where punishment is attributed to those who disobey; where certain types of work can openly flourish; where truth is suppressed, mind games are played and medication of the healthy is mandatory, after all vigilance is needed as the enemy awaits.
So is it Eurasia, Oceania or Eastasia that we fighting today?
Is this the world that you want to live within?
You may not believe that your voice will be heard. But if enough people voice their concerns regarding this medical apartheid, the path that Mr Man is walking us down, will close.
