The New Moon in Mutable Water on the 23rd February 2020 at 15:31 GMT in Dublin, Ireland
“Close your eyes, Little Spirit. Just for a moment. Allow your mind to conjure up an image of a wave in the ocean. I want you to tell me what you see”, the master said to Little Spirit.
“A wave!”
“What else?”
“Hmm, it’s…. blue”
“Look again. Look through your eye.”
Stirred by the eros of Luna, Little Spirit could feel the wave languidly rise from the eternal dance between soul and form; she could sense the innocence flowing forth without thought of what awaits; she could witness the kaleidoscope of colours refracted through each droplet; she could feel the waves humility as it takes the shape of whatever otherness holds it; she could glimpse the imagination of the ancestors contained within each droplet, each unique in itself and yet somehow similar; she could feel the depth of emotion, the tears of delight, the tears of grief, the strength of each wave as it faces its inevitable demise and its ever relenting procession towards its destination; and she could witness its limitless immortality as the wave eventually disappeared, merging with the vastness from which it came, once again became one with the water that created its form.
Unable to verbalise, Little Spirit sat in the joy of wave ecstatic as it merged with the shore, eyes open with wonder and knowingness.
“Yes, Little Spirit, the water is still there. The wave was just a different way for the water to be for a little while. The wave returns to the ocean, where it came from, and in time it will gain a new form but will retain its connection to the whole and the memory of what has gone before.
“When you look at the ocean, you see that each wave has a beginning and an end. A wave can be compared with other waves, and you can call it more or less beautiful, higher or lower, longer lasting or less long lasting. But if you look more deeply, you see that a wave is made of water. Water is instinct. She is feeling. She is shapeless, fluid and malleable. She can be solid, liquid or gaseous. She is inconstant and is always in flow. She is continually adapting to her surroundings. She nourishes and activates life. She is energy in motion – emotion. Whilst thought may influence energy to some extent, emotions more frequently underpin our actions. Your emotions are your inner guidance system and by being continually aware of your emotions you can steer your life in more conscious direction instead of being swept along on a river of external thoughts and “situations”, under the influence or even direct control of others.
“So while living the life of a wave- strong, purposeful, fleeting- remember that the wave also lives the life of water- calm, cool and contemplative and remember that just as the wave merges into the ocean, the ocean merges into the wave.”

The ocean is ‘water in motion’.
If you have ever watched a small section of the ocean, you will notice that is constantly rippling, creating waves. If you isolate and label that part of the water as a wave you are given the impression that the wave is a separate entity to the ocean. But a wave is not in the ocean. A wave is the ocean.
Similarly it is common to believe that you reside within a field of consciousness. But what if you are the ocean? What if you are really consciousness shaped into a human being? After all you are merely energy and within your cells resides memories, thoughts, feelings and experiences are held within the infinitesimal, undifferentiated pure energy source. But it is the human level of experience and your addiction to it blinds you to the reality that you are one thread inexorably bound and connected to all other threads within the matrix of life. Within each person living within this dimension of space and time a sense of oneness is infused in your very being as we are all made of the same stuff and you constantly exchange that energy when you breathe in and exhale out. Therefore whatever you create within your web, you create for everyone else. Your heart, your thoughts, your inspiration and your actions create reality for each and every-one of us.
Astrologers simply call this experience – Pisces.
Pisces refers to the fluid exchange of emotionally charged light between all living and non-living things. Wherever this sign falls within your birth chart shows you where you can actively and consciously lose all sense of Self, let go all notions of ego and merge with someone or something, as you move beyond the illusion of the ego mind and return to the One-ness of Source Consciousness.
On the 23rd February the Sun and Moon align within this Living Water sign indicating that the space/time fabric is more receptive to setting intentions concerning the loss of any ego attachments within a particular arena in your life. In the same way that the element of water is our life giver, nourishing and activating life, permeating all aspects of physical reality, binding and connecting us together, a lunation within this sign has the simultaneous impact of raising your state of consciousness in all other areas of your life AND in the lives of everyone else!
So as the Moon disappears from our night sky, a space opens up to view the celestial Source more clearly. That our universe is a reflection of us and vice versa, when we gaze into the apparently fathomless beauty of the night sky, we are actually looking deep with our own numinosity. With no light to distract us from our own interiority, we are afforded a space to travel into our Deep. The vibration created by the synergy of OUR cosmic in and out breaths coming together, creates a portal within our interiority to forge a new relationship to the re-kindled archetype.
As we approach the renewal of this archetypal consciousness, I would ask you to reflect on is whether you fully trust yourself to let go and float within a seascape of Being, letting go for your ego and allowing this undifferentiated energy guide you along a back along the strand of the web you have chosen, back to the Source?
