The world has always been a place of injustice, so I don’t know why so many believe that this time is extra special and that the world is coming to its end. History is full of stories of cultures/ society ending, let alone the daily occurrence of individuals lives ending and beginning afresh due to single decisions or a series of less conscious choices being made. And since our society comprises decisions made by individuals at a collective level, is it more surprising that any ‘order’ has emerged from the chaos of people’s unhealed trauma and suffering.
Until individuals address their own pain and personal/ ancestral healing, how can you expect society to do that? It is a wonder to me that many still write on social in a manner that believes society to be separate from themselves and that it operates independently. It is the same within spirituality, wherein may pray to an ‘outside’ source for deliverance, help and support. Is God truly Abrahamic and exists above and separate from you? Or are you one and the same as both society/ gOd?
What you heal, you heal in the world around you. If you want your world to change, then start with yourself. If you wish judgement and condemnation to stop, then it has to come from within, even if that means your life will be made uncomfortable as you live in accordance with your convictions, ideals that may put you out of kilter with your family, friends and community. Many people I know did that during 2020-2022, when something intrinsic didn’t feel right about ingesting a medication that lacked conclusive research. I can understand their hurt, pain and anger. That is only human when you suffer rejection and vitriol. But your response and how you dealt with that judgement guided how you lived your life and the world you created for yourself, as many people’s lives ended and had to start afresh.
So is this time any less different to how it always has been? And before you respond by saying – there are more people questioning and awakening, let me ask you, is that really true? I was approached by a journalist two years ago regarding the ‘increased usage and interest in astrology’, to which I refuted that claim. My professional experience and opinion was rejected, since it contradicted that of an article in the New York Times and this journalist merely wanted an Irish spin on the same story. There is no more or less interest in matters spiritual or esoteric now as there has been in the past. All that has changed is that people pour into the public domain their private thoughts and interests through the lens of social media. As someone who works with a broad range of people, cultures, ages and backgrounds, I have had the same demand for my services now, as I had when I started 30 years ago. Moreover, if you read, you will discover that interest in these matters has always been there, regardless of its legality and social/ religious prejudices.
And so, astrologers talk with amplified adjectives (to gain attention and work) what is going on in the world. That has always been the case, as the form of astrology that you are reading on the net is called Mundane astrology and it is an astrology that discusses the growth within the collective, as opposed to the astrology you experience when you book an appointment with an astrologer – not when you buy a report or when you read ‘sun/ moon sign’ columns. Change is ever constant and there are multiple changes at differing levels going on, each day and every year. This time is no different, regardless of whether the slower moving waveforms are moving into new ‘arenas’ in the heavens.
If you truly wish our world to change, it starts with you. Are you living in accord with your deeper convictions? Are you living from a place of kindness, each moment and towards everyone, and not just when it suits you? Are you a ‘sunday’ Christian, confessing your ‘sins’ privately (catholic) or publicly (Protestant) and then gossip, deride, demean or belittle family members, friends or randomers thereafter? Have you truly addressed the script and patterns of your family history and within yourself, becoming conscious of them and working to raise the level to which you live?
Perhaps it is time to address those themes, and since what occurs within you, is mirrored in the world around you, you will then start to experience and witness a shift in your/ our world…. This is not some self-focused, individualistically orientated narcissism, but a reflection of deeper truth. Change comes from within, and each of us has the ability to heal and raise the bar of our lives, touching the lives of others and perhaps lighting a way of healing and therefore treating others.
It’s times like these you learn to live again
It’s times like these you give and give again
It’s times like these you learn to love again
It’s times like these time and time again
