As you live beneath the canopy of a blue aura, looking up at a distinct, luminous yellow star, you may notice less bright lights bobbing along as if floating on top of an ocean of waves. Our predecessors wrote of the sky being a dark ocean from where humanity originated, and they believed that those wanderers, now called planets, where living beings, each with their own character and personality.

Watching the skies, whether for navigation or divinatory purposes, it was noticed that they had specific periodicities relative to our Sun – Earth dynamic and overtime we developed monuments to not only measure those time signatures, but also music to replicate those oscillations. These undulating patterns, akin to the rise and fall of ocean tides, encapsulate the essence of humanity’s journey through time. Just as waves crest and recede, so too do the tones of civilisation echo the cyclical rhythms of birth, growth, decay, and renewal. From the primal beats of tribal drums to the intricate harmonies of modern compositions, each waveform tells a story, resonating with the ebb and flow of the personal and collective, marking the passage of ages, and capturing the essence of human experience in its multifaceted complexity.

You could say that you live within a sea of waveforms, each wave replete with its own tone, harmonically interacting with other waves to produce their own children, who in turn have their own personality and character. Each ‘sound’ carries its own unique signature that creates a mood within which consciousness responds, opening up awareness to a very specific dimension of the overall collective and personal oceans within which we swim.

It would, however, be a mistake to assume that these tones create reality. And it is seductive to believe that to be the case, especially when you can ‘feel’ the distinct tone playing through the events and circumstances that arise throughout the duration of that tone. But alas no. That is simply not the case. These tones have ambience and cadence, but they do not define the way in which it is heard. That is down to the listener.

Some listeners will hear the tone in a grating manner, and will respond accordingly. Others will be more receptive and appear to dance melodically along. Others still will be deaf to the music, focused as they may be on other music that they are more in sync with.

And since reality is defined by a composite of complexities, as opposed to the simplicity of a deterministic model of reality put forth by early astrologers, the Church and mechanistically driven science, the truth of the intrinsic meaning of each tone is hard to gauge, even if we can explore and discuss the mood and ambience set by the rhythm.

To this end, the webinar (hosted on the 13th of April and available to purchase and view on my VIMEO account) was merely an exploration of the sort of cultural mood and zeitgeist within a particular planetary duet, helping you to more consciously understand the Mood of the time, so that you can watch, observe and participate in your own way with this dance. Whether the cycle manifests in a consciously constructive manner or within a hubris driven self-serving  egoism has nothing to do with the planetary cycle itself, but on the free will of you as an individual or us as a collective regarding what choices we make within the cadence of the planetary waveform.

Additionally, as we grow and evolve as a humanity, dualistic notions of good and bad blur into each other, becoming one and the same. After all we can all think of ‘events’ that initially felt dark and overwhelming, only to later see how profoundly constructive they were, once our ego got out of the way and we could better understand the presence of grief, loss, chaos and disappointment.

Jupiter and Uranus Meaning

Within the astrological language, the term Jupiter refers to a state of growth that encourages movement upwards and outwards. In other words growth that moves through you to enlarge your worldview, be it through opening up to educatory avenues, exploring new landscapes, encountering differing perspectives or opening the mind to accept what you are moving through, with hope, openness and non-judgement.

Uranus, on the other hand, is a term to describe the process of awakening, liberating your awareness from the constructs of doctrine, the servitude of what has gone before and the straightjacket of conformity. It is also a form of growth, but one that is not rooted in stoic discipline and perseverance. It arises akin to a ‘light bulb’ moment, dramatically altering perspective almost immediately, even if the ego attempts to resist what is now-the-blindingly-obvious!

As Jupiter and Uranus synergise with each other, it creates a waveform that feels exciting, liberating, opening, fast moving, innovative and hungry to growth ever faster. These planets are on continuous relationship with each other, but there are stages of their dance that reflect a greater degree of poignancy, as they merge in their alignment to create a tone for the mood for a period of just under 14 years.

Along that dance, there are turning points, integration points, opportunity to further build, points of illumination, points of tension and a time wherein this dance needs to end, ceding to a renewal under a differing rhythm. This alignment on the 21^st of April is a time wherein the tone for this authentic enthusiasm is set and therefore YOU have a say on the way in which you move to this beat.

Remember, whether the fast moving cadence of this couplet is received as a dissonant noise, blowing open the receiver (s) in a sociopathic, hedonistic, greedy manner, or whether it is received as a consonant melody, expanding awareness, liberating you/ us from the illusion of democracy, keeps you in a dualistic mind set. This is the antithesis of the deeper meaning of what this couplet are about – opening up beyond the boundaries defined by experience, family, genetics, culture and society.

What you can expect to feel, however, is a fast paced, ‘eye’ opening insight, that can literally blow apart the cobwebs, freeing you from the binds that chain you to the ever rotating Wheel of fate, enabling you to gain a fresh perspective that can be drawn through your creative essence in a manner that not only expresses your being in a stunningly authentic and free manner, but in a way that WILL be perceived by those closed to growth as being ‘insane’, wild, rule-bending and impossible.

The tone of this alignment is inwardly embodied. It will be experienced within, as opposed to witnessed without. The feeling is that of encounter, as you witness a liberation of your body and being from the physical and material constraints that have come before.

Of course some will use this feeling to their own end, just as the American’s did with the development of the profoundly invisible atomic energy that exists within the root of our primal being, which once harnessed could have been profoundly life sustaining, as opposed to destroying. Whilst the atom was split during the Arian cycle, after the 1941 Taurean cycle began research accelerated as massive breakthroughs on our understanding of Nature’s Inner Secrets revealed ways to make manifest the interior of Nature, then used to subdue working class Japan in two cities in 1945.

The Arts not War

Deciding not to focus too much time on war, conflict and politics because humanity needs very little encouragement to descend into childish playground tit-for-tat, which belies a deeper malaise and dis-ease that has been part of the human condition, and therefore are ubiquitous and not exclusive to a planetary couplet, what is meaningful is the ‘quality’ of motivation that underlies the conflicts or protests.

The revolts that have occurred during stages of Jupiter-Uranus cycle are as a result of people no longer wanting to ‘feel’ the way that they were feeling. Therefore action was taken to liberate themselves from what they felt was fascist oppression. The 1968-69 revolts were ideological, as be fits the Air element, whereas this one is an ‘Earth’ revolt, which is not only about the mechanisation and commoditisation of our bodies, food and ‘greenwashing’ of Nature and the environment, but also about us becoming aware that the style of consumerist corporate growth that has no concern for ‘body’ has to change. Therefore is it likely that the root of the revolts of the coming 14 years revolves around finding a ‘new’ way to live, eat, and care for our bodies? Yes.

You would be forgiven if you thought that astrology was solely concerned with futurism and making concrete statements regarding how the energetic waveforms would manifest in tangible terms, as events and circumstances that happen because, as opposed to in synchrony with and filtered by free will. Yet, astrology is better used as a means to interpret the subtle changes in the continuously evolving ocean that we live within, outlining the quality of the ‘weather’ thereby prompting the informed to better understand the choices that naturally arise as the environment changes.

The arts are a better vehicle for understanding the shifting interior landscape of the collective, since creativity speaks quintessentially of a mood that alters the perception of what is created, as opposed to merely looking at events as a reaction to external circumstances. The dance between Jupiter and Uranus opens the interiority of the individual, and subsequently the collective, to quantum leap in awareness, enabling a freedom to occur to release the fettered bind that hold you/ us fast. This can be translated, therefore, as extraordinary shifts in experimentation as exiting boundaries, in the form of tradition, are pushed or ignored within a milieu of exploration and innovation. Whether this manifests as technological or artistic/ musical innovation is down to the individual, but the ethos remains the same, regardless of the perceived value by a culture.

Consciousness

Similarly, in terms of consciousness or growth within the interiority of an individual, the Jupiter-Uranus pairing is a waveform whose ‘music’ opens you to revelatory encounters that serves to alter the paradigm from which sensuality, creativity and accessible pragmatism can be experienced. The qualitative experience of this ‘tone’ is akin to planting a seed that will allow a flower of truthful honesty to flourish, even if it means destabilising arenas of your life that are no longer aligned with your deeper impulse towards freedom and being. You cannot hide from the raw music that flows through your veins. You can feel it within you as an irresistible beat that captivates your heart and compels you onto the dance floor of your life, moving and contorting in manners that previously you may have been too self-conscious to perform. And now, you are wriggling like a fish trying to get back into water, unable to contain yourself, or be contained, as you seek to go with the mood, regardless of the outcome, what people think or indeed whether it makes pragmatic sense.

In short, the ‘landscape’ of this synod is conducive to that of open and free exploration, as opposed to tentative analysis and incremental growth, painstaking hewn from toil and labour. It is as if reason, caution and restraint are thrown to the wind in favour of wonder, ‘risk’ and an ethos to go places less familiar. The speed of insight delivered is like Speedy Gonzalez on tens of Espressos, and this can give rise to peak experiences and extraordinary insights that flash through you, liberating you from your prior conditions, yet can be equally destabilising to those very same cornerstones that have defined what has been your reality.

Star Beings

Within this ‘opening up’ mood, filtered by the zodiacal sign in which it occurs, the additional layer of connectivity to a consciousness beyond our humanity’s perimeters, adds an additional ‘quality’ to the ambience. Each alignment through history has had a relationship to a star being, whose message is infused within the liberational milieu. Whilst the 1858 synod was a return to understanding the word made flesh or the spirit held within Mother Nature, as exemplified by the physical apparition of the Divine Mother at Lourdes, as well as the reductionist obsession to decompartmentalise Nature into more and more finite parts (Darwinian evolution), the 1941 synod was a more sombre revelation to prompt a deeper awareness of the finiteness of physical life and to consciously prepare ourselves for the inevitable.

The 2024 synod differs as the tone opens up an alchemy of rejuvenation, a sacred space or sanctuary where the seeds of growth can take root and flourish. As Spirit is ignited with the spiralling creatrix energy, held between the open arms of a deep Yin, through which the spark of Divinity begins, snaking its way through the centre of Spirit, animating and enlivening it, bringing it to life and back from the Dark. As you nurture this sacred space, you too become a guardian of the delicate balance between loss and renewal that was prompted 84 years ago, holding the threads of life with a reverence that transcends the limitations of your physical existence.

Beyond?

Would you like to go beyond? Would you like to encounter a life without edges? Can you even envision just one day where you do not feel the boundaries of ‘should’/ ‘could’/ ‘ought to’/ ‘have to’? Whilst to truly go beyond you have to understand the ‘root’ of the boundaries that you have created within your mind, the theme of this alignment, as well as its presence within your psyche, is to open pathways wherein you feel the fresh excitation of innovation and fast spaced expansion, freeing you from the fettered chains of responsibility/ authority/ the past/ this-is-how-it-is-done so that you can ‘untether’ your being, even if just for a moment.

Living within this state, something that many born with this configuration embody, as opposed to those of us who merely experience moments of profound awakening encounter, akin to the Light that knocked Saul off his horse on the road to Damascus, is not easy, given the way that we have constructed our world/ families and environment. But as you have seen, this dimension of consciousness is ever present, ever growing and ever adding fresh perspectives upon our worlds.

Ahead of this alignment, give yourself the permission to envelope yourself within the energetics of excitation and freedom of expression, regardless of whether you engage with others who are unable to meet you at this level. Of course there will be discomfort and disorientation, but then those feelings always arise when your homeostasis is altered and a new way of being arises.

You stand on the threshold of a new stage of development, a sustained tone of fourteen years, a rhythm that opens up your physical world to a deeper realisation of both the illusion, and the importance, of our physicality and material world. There will be profound shifts that open up so many facets of humanity. The question is, however, whether you are prepared to go beyond and to encounter life without edges, to grow with abandon and to open yourself to knowledge that will threaten your everyday life?
