The 18th May as Retrograde Mutable Air Venus squares Neptune in Mutable Water
Longing, like any desire, can cause great distress and be an obstacle in spiritual practice. It also is a great force that can push you along a demanding path, driving you to ask the deepest and scariest spiritual questions, even if instigated by the irresistible quest for a refined white sugary hit!
Deepest spiritual longing is like a shape shifter, morphing into a different form or attaching itself to different words, is ever present and ever changing. Whether that longing is to be ultimately OK – acceptable, worthy, and lovable; or to speak and act freely and spontaneously, as your “true, authentic self,” free from the constraint of self-consciousness; of whether it was about craving understanding, insight and wisdom.
The mistake maybe in where you are seeking the object of your longing. Even if you seek within yourself for the answer won’t help because even that is actually still looking somewhere else!!! In short, it is necessary to stop any looking whatsoever!!! To utterly trust that by clearing your undifferentiated self, that the pathways imbued in the fabric of your being will draw onto your path, in its own time, that which is truly necessary for your journey.
Having said that, you should not stop longing as this is tantamount to merely giving up. When your heart is exhausted; when you have invested a great deal of time and energy seeking “love”, fulfilment, insight, better health, wealth, joy, peace only then the quest ceases.
As Venus continues her squares off with Neptune, you have been shown a key to free yourself from longing. It is an immensely emotional time these days, so tread carefully my friend, as the light gently guides you through the tempest.

I have a varied clientele, located all over the world, and have worked privately with individuals and corporately with business, sports clubs, political parties and religious institutions for over two decades. My practise is based in my office in Blackrock, Dublin, Ireland, from where I write, divine, create and see clients in person or via ZOOM.Until the time of my movement onto my current path, I was reading Geography in Trinity College, Dublin and playing football, two additional passions I still have today. I currently reside in Greystones, Ireland with my family. My life-partner and wife, Karen, walks the same path as an astrologer and we have two children, Sarah and Maya. Together we run the Blue Rose, a school of astrology and spirituality and have students all over the world who download our classes, join in via ZOOM or attend in person.
