The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse on the 28th of October in Fixed Earth, Taurus
During a lunar eclipse, Earth’s shadow covers the Moon’s surface, symbolising two simultaneous concepts – the grounding of liminal and subconscious feelings into reality AND the release of the ego-shadow within our emotional body.
While solar eclipses serve as a reset in the energy field or archetypal structures of your psyche, lunar eclipses, on the other hand, represent the end of emotional cycles that have completed their journey.
Both types of eclipses serve to release emotions and attachments that no longer serve your psycho-spiritual development, and reflect a time wherein you are being prompted to progress into a new developmental state.
A lunar eclipse offers a potent period for purifying your emotional currents and setting goals for emotional renewal and revitalisation over the forth coming six months.
The spiritual meaning of a lunar eclipse is to witness our emotional shadow and limiting patterns in terms of our inner world, our inner voice and the ego-challenges within our dreamscape.
Aside from reflecting on the emotional weave you put in play since the 19th of May this year, a time when you were called upon to enchant your world and to live from a state of encounter and lOve, the dense emotional attachments to people and circumstances that weigh heavily on your heart are up for healing and inner illumination.
The Shadow of Fixed Earth, Taurus, the sign of the Lunar eclipse, is that of resisting moving on from emotional patterns that no-longer serve you – whether it is the fantasy or reality of another who does not show up for you; whether it is the heart-myopia that fixates on an external agency as the reason for your inability to find joy/ to move on/ or to feel fulfilled; whether it is the emotional drama and trauma that has become a physical expression of your soul, consumed as you have become to being fed in a lower emotional dynamic, creating a form of fixation or attachment to ‘another’; or whether it is the emotional attachment to ‘material stuff’ that keeps you chained to an emotional reality that no longer brings joy. Taurus is an expression of the Doubting Thomas Shadow and the inability to trust what the heart is telling you because you need solid, tangible evidence to verify and vindicate the choices that you are called to make. This ‘Thomas’ expression lives from a perpetual state of physical anxiety as it requires you to remain emotionally attached to your job/ your salary/ your sense of security in circumstances that are ironically illusory but the familiarity gives you a false sense of safety and routine.
This Full Moon eclipse outlines for you how far you have travelled since the 19th of May this year when you made commitments to your higher soul to experience of unconditional presence and acceptance that you and everything and everyone around you, and to no longer apply expectation or attachment to the outcome of the emotional exchanges that you have with those in your world.
This eclipse time is one to feel the fruits of that process, as you took the time to lOve, not love – to truly appreciate all that you are; to truly listen to what nourishes and sustains you; to see the interiority of everything in your living landscape; to feel the presence of the sOul of everyone and everything around you; and to know that you are not alone, within a world that is alive within you and around you.
But it is also a time to truly encounter and witness the fears and anxieties of all emotionally charged attachments you have, which are binding you to people and circumstances that are no longer serving your higher soul’s growth. Therefore this Full could be a deeply emotional time and one of grieving as you let go all emotional attachments to one-sided relationships.
You are being called to raise your emotional tone this Saturday, and as Eckhart Tolle once said – rather than being your emotions, be the awareness behind them. In other words, embody your heart, respecting the boundaries of another and the complexity that they live within, and to compassionately forgive yourself for all attachments that you have forged with those who cannot show up for you, at the level that serves your emotional being.
