One of these days your heart will be six feet under and you won’t be able to drop over, check in or pick up the phone. One of these days time will cease and silence will deafen and you will then realise how much you miss the complaints, the concerns and the small things.
Ours is short and whilst there may exist issues that have been unkind, unfair or unjustified, the bond between mother and child is beyond words. It is only something that you truly get in their absence.
Don’t let a virus get in the way of a hug; a mask in the way of a smile; pride, hurt or anger in the way of a call or a note; or a hallmark day to tell her that you love her.
You came through her and would not be the person you are without her presence.
Be present with the time you spend with your Mum. You do not know when you will get that time again.
